On 23rd June 2023, we held the first General Assembly of what is now the PhD Association Physics Basel (PAP) — marking an important step toward building a stronger, more connected PhD community within the department.

The meeting brought together motivated PhD students from across all research groups to discuss shared goals, challenges, and ideas for future initiatives. By the end of the evening, the association was officially founded, and the first board was elected. With enthusiastic support from the participants, PAP was born with a clear mission: to represent, support, and connect PhD students in Physics at the University of Basel.

We’re excited about everything that lies ahead and are grateful to everyone who helped shape this beginning. Stay tuned for more events, opportunities, and ways to get involved!
